John F. Romano is a partner at Romano Law Group. He is a civil trial advocate board-certified by the Florida Bar, the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He lectures across America on trial advocacy and tort and criminal law, has authored three textbooks, and has published more than 100 articles in national publications or papers for national presentation.
Education
John is a graduate of Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach. He accepted a football scholarship from Florida State University and attended law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1973. In 1974, the state of Florida granted him admission to practice law. John also proudly served as a Captain and J.A.G. Officer with the United States Marine Corps (primarily with the Second Marine Division out of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina).
Ties to the Community
John returned to Florida to work with the personal injury and general trial attorneys at the law firm of Cone, Wagner, Nugent, Johnson & McKeown, and later formed the Palm Beach County law firm of Romano, Eriksen & Cronin. In 2007, the firm became Romano Law Group. With nearly 50 years in law practice, he has held numerous positions in national law organizations and has been recognized for his contributions to the field of law in Florida, including receiving the Jon E. Krupnick award in 2015. He was inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 2016.
